RERA Rental Index
What is RERA Rental Index?
The RERA Rental Index is Dubai's official rent benchmark, published by the Real Estate Regulatory Agency. It sets the maximum permitted annual rent increase for existing tenancies, based on how far the current rent sits below the prevailing market rate.
Definition
The index applies a graduated scale: if the current rent is more than 40% below the index, the landlord can raise it by up to 20%. Accessed via the Dubai REST app.
